What is a dust-free cleanroom?

A dust-free cleanroom refers to a special environmental control space used to control air quality and particulate pollutant levels during production, manufacturing, or experimentation. The existence of a dust-free cleanroom can reduce the impact of pollutants on products and provide a clean and controllable working environment. It is often used in pharmaceutical, electronic, semiconductor, medical device, food processing, and other industries to ensure product quality and the stability of the production process.

1. A dust-free cleanroom uses a series of air filtration and purification technologies, including high-efficiency air filters, medium-efficiency air filters, HEPA filters, ULPA filters, etc. to purify particulate matter, microorganisms, and harmful gases in the air to an acceptable level. In addition, dust-free cleanrooms often use airflow control systems to ensure that the direction and speed of airflow meet specific requirements;

2. In a dust-free cleanroom, other measures are also taken to control the generation and spread of pollutants. For example, for some sensitive manufacturing processes, personnel may be restricted from entering the workshop and required to wear specific protective clothing and electrostatic protection equipment. In addition, before entering the workshop, it is necessary to use purification equipment such as air showers to remove dust and particles attached to the surface, and regular cleaning and maintenance are required to keep the purification equipment and environment clean;

3. For the design and construction of dust-free clean workshops, many factors need to be considered. First, the type and scale of the air filtration system should be determined according to the required air quality and purification level. Secondly, the scale and layout of the workshop should be determined according to the purpose and operation requirements of the workshop. In addition, factors such as pressure difference, air supply, and exhaust system, temperature and humidity control, etc. need to be considered. Taking all these factors into consideration, it is aimed to create an ideal environment to minimize the impact of particles and pollutants on products and manufacturing processes;

4. In the pharmaceutical and medical equipment industries, the cleanliness requirements for the production of drugs and medical supplies are very high, and may even need to reach the sterile level. The operation of dust-free clean workshops can effectively control the spread of microorganisms and minimize the risk of cross-infection. In the electronics and semiconductor industries, tiny dust and particles may have a serious impact on the performance and reliability of electronic products;

5. At present, the dust-free standard for chip-level production and processing has higher requirements for dust than the international dust-free standard and is mainly applicable to the production of some high-end chips. The dust volume is below 5μm and strictly controlled within 1000 per cubic meter, which is the 1K level commonly seen in industry. Therefore, the existence of a cleanroom is indispensable.

The dust-free cleanroom ensures product quality and the stability of the production process through advanced air filtration and purification technology. The existence of a cleanroom can reduce the impact of pollutants on products and provide a clean and controllable working environment to meet the requirements of high quality and safety. Bailun Purification specializes in the production of various types of purification equipment required for the construction of cleanrooms, such as air shower rooms, high-efficiency air supply ports, FFU laminar air supply units, clean sheds, ultra-clean workbenches, fast rolling doors, and high-efficiency filters. It provides systematic cleanroom construction solutions for industries such as biopharmaceuticals, medical research, food processing, confidential instruments, and chemical experiments, ensuring that products are produced in a sterile production environment to ensure people's health and safety.
