What is a box filter?

Box filter is a common filtering device, usually used in air purification, aquarium water filtration, and other fields.
By definition, a box filter is a device that achieves a filtering function through a specific structure and filter material. It removes impurities, and harmful substances or achieves a particular effect of purification by introducing the substance to be filtered into the box body and passing through the internal filter components.
Common box filters are of various types. For example, in the field of air purification, there are large air volume V-type box filters, which have large ventilation volume and small wind resistance. They are widely used in industrial and commercial heating and ventilation air conditioning systems, such as office buildings, shopping malls, airports, and other large civil buildings, as well as ventilation and air conditioning systems of general industrial plants. In aquarium filtration, common box filters are in the form of filter boxes, which are flexible in size and filter material and can effectively clean water impurities and cultivate bacteria and water.
The basic structure of a box filter generally includes a box body, a filter component, an air inlet, and outlet, or a water inlet and outlet. Taking the medium-efficiency box filter as an example, it is usually supported by metal brackets, and the outer frame is mostly made of high-strength rust-proof galvanized sheet. The filter material includes composite non-woven fabrics, glass fiber, activated carbon non-woven filter materials, and other options. Some special-purpose box filters, such as high-temperature-resistant box filters, also include filter housings, filter components, filter doors with hinged movably installed, threaded rods, and other components, and these structures are used to achieve more special filtering needs.
In short, box filters, with their various types and unique structures, play an important role in filtering and purification in different fields.
