What are the performance tests for ultra-clean clean workbench?

Clean workbench is designed to meet the cleanliness requirements of local working areas in different fields, including modern industry, optoelectronics industry, biopharmaceuticals, and scientific research experiments. By utilizing air purification technology, a clean workbench can make the space in a certain operating area relatively dust-free and sterile (local level 100). This operation is relatively simple and efficient and is suitable for large-scale production. Using a clean bench can improve process conditions, improve product quality, and increase output.

To ensure the accuracy of experimental operations and the reliability of results, it is very important to formulate standard operating procedures for clean workbench. The specific procedures are as follows:

1. Definition and principles: The clean workbench is suitable for Chinese Pharmacopoeia and related standards, and is specially used for drug bacterial testing.

2. Operation method:

(1) Operators should wear appropriate protective equipment, including lab coats, gloves, masks, and goggles.

(2) Before the operation, the operator should perform necessary disinfection, such as using alcohol cotton balls to clean the operating area.

(3) Connect the power supply and turn on the fan button to make the equipment operate normally. After the ultraviolet light control switch is pressed, the operating area can be sterilized at the same time.

(4) Place the required experimental items and reagents in pre-sterilized containers. At the same time, operators should regularly clean debris and dirt on the workbench.

(5) Put in the sterilized experimental equipment, culture media, and drugs to be tested in order. You must wait 20 minutes (for sterile air showering) before starting the experiment.

(6) After the experiment, thoroughly clean the workbench and related experimental equipment, including Petri dishes, culture equipment, test tubes, etc. Then turn off the device.

3. Things to note:

(1) The installation conditions of the clean workbench directly affect its use effect and lifespan. Implementation is required indoors with terrazzo floors and smooth walls to minimize dust content in the environment.

(2) The clean workbench should be placed in a room with double doors, and the air inlet hood of the clean bench against an open door or window to avoid affecting the life of the filter.

(3) The ultraviolet lamp should be installed outside the lighting lampshade, and the arrangement of the lighting lamps should be staggered so as not to affect the lighting effect. Never place a UV lamp inside a lighting shade (glass plate) because the UV lamp tube is made of quartz glass and cannot pass through glass.

(4) It is necessary to strictly prevent external airflow from interfering with the clean status of the workbench. During the experiment, it is forbidden to turn on the air conditioner indoors, open the sliding door lightly, and not walk around or scratch your scalp to avoid causing vibration to the workbench and unnecessary spraying.

(5) Operators should wear tight-fitting polyester-cotton blue clean overalls, hats, and masks.

(6) Equipment such as filters and wind speed monitors on the workbench need to be checked regularly to ensure normal operation of the workbench.

(7) Perform regular performance testing to check the working status of the workbench filters, wind speed monitors, and other equipment.

The number of dust particles should be tested every six months and should meet the 100-level standard (the number of particles >0.5 μm should be less than 3.5/L). At the same time, a colony count test should be performed. The average number of colonies on five plates should be less than 0.2.

When the airflow speed in the operating area decreases significantly (less than 0.3m/s), the filter should be removed and cleaned or replaced with a new one.

(8) Maintenance: You can refer to the clean workbench instruction manual for minor repairs or ask the manufacturer for maintenance.

In short, clean bench standard operating procedures are a very important part of laboratory operations. Only by strictly abiding by the procedures and using the clean workbench rationally can the accuracy and reliability of the experiment be ensured, while the sources of pollution in the operation can be effectively controlled, ensuring the smooth progress of the experimental results and scientific research work.
