What are the materials used for filter cotton?

I. Synthetic fiber filter cotton:

The general filtration environment can fully replace the non-woven fabric and glass fiber to cover the coarse, medium, and high-efficiency full range of filtration products, which is an emerging filter material, but also the main direction of progress in future filter materials.

It has the advantages of low resistance, lightweight, large capacity, environmental protection, and moderate price compared with other filter materials of the same class. 

Adopting polyester fiber as the main raw material, abbreviated as PET, polyester fiber is made from polyethylene terephthalate, also known as synthetic fiber or polyester.
Polyester has excellent wrinkle resistance, elasticity, and dimensional stability, good electrical insulation properties, is resistant to sun finish, friction resistance, no mold, and no moth, has good resistance to chemical reagents, and can resist weak acids and weak alkalis.

The industry is called: chemical fibers, chemical fibers are divided into large chemical fibers and small chemical fibers, and large chemical fibers are polyester fibers produced with high-quality PET chips.
Small chemical fiber refers to some small and medium-sized manufacturers with poor-quality recycled PET chips produced from recycled material fiber.

III. Glass fiber filter cotton:

Glass fiber filter cotton is mainly made of various glass fibers of different thicknesses and lengths by special processing techniques.
Glass fiber with its stable performance, high-temperature resistance, high efficiency, large capacity, long service life, and other characteristics.
And in some special environments also only glass fiber can be competent.
It is widely used in general ventilation systems for primary filters, high-temperature resistant filters, and high-efficiency filters, in places and environments with high requirements for air filtration.
