Types of materials for high-temperature resistant filters

Nonwoven Fabric
Nonwoven fabric is widely used in high-temperature resistant filters, especially in primary filters. It has the advantages of wide use, good stability, and mature technology. Compared with other filter materials of the same class, nonwoven fabric has stable quality, large dust capacity, strong moisture resistance, long service life, and economic durability. In the high-temperature primary filter, nonwoven fabric can effectively filter the tar, soot, dust, and other particles generated in the high-temperature drying room, with its thin structure, high dust capacity, economical and practical, strong heat resistance, no fiber breakage, no fiber loss phenomenon.
Synthetic fiber
Synthetic fiber is an emerging material in high-temperature-resistant filters. It has the advantages of low friction resistance, lightweight, large volume, and environmental protection. In the usual filtration environment, it can fully replace the filtration of non-woven fabrics and glass fiber primary and secondary high-efficiency series products. For example, the synthetic fibre high-temperature filter, has low pressure loss, high dust collection efficiency, good flame retardant, and can withstand high temperatures up to 300℃. At the same time, synthetic fiber can avoid glass fiber harm to the human body, has stable performance, and can be used for a long time at a high temperature of 280 ℃ without aging.
Activated Carbon
Activated carbon is mainly used in high-temperature filters to remove odors. It is characterized by its high pore structure and strong adsorption capacity, which can effectively adsorb dissolved gases and tiny particles. However, the contribution of activated carbon to the filtration efficiency is relatively small, and it usually needs to be used in conjunction with separate primary and secondary filters. Activated carbon can play an important role in some special application scenarios, such as the need to deal with high-temperature gases with odors.
