The difference between primary, medium, and high-efficiency filters

Primary, medium, and high-efficiency filters have the following three differences in function, material, and precision
1. Different functions
Primary filter: suitable for primary filtration of air conditioning systems, mainly used to filter dust particles above 5μm.
Medium efficiency filter: F series filter in air filter, generally bag filter, including F5, F6, F7, F8, F9 level. Widely used for intermediate filtration of air conditioning systems, mainly used to filter dust particles above 1-5um.
High-efficiency filter: mainly used to capture dust particles below 0.5um and various suspended matter.
2. Different materials
Primary filter: outer frame materials include paper frame, aluminum frame, galvanized iron frame, filter materials include non-woven fabric, nylon mesh, activated carbon filter material, metal mesh, etc.
Medium efficiency filter: bag type, frame type combined type, etc.
High-efficiency filter: ultra-fine glass fiber paper is used as filter material, offset paper, aluminum film, and other materials are used as partition board, and it is bonded with wooden frame and aluminum alloy.
3. Different filtration accuracy and speed
Primary filter: G1-G4 5 microns 65% 80% 90% 95%
Medium filter: F5-F9 1 micron 60% 70% 80% 90% 95%
High-efficiency filter: H10-H14 0.5 microns 95% 99.5% 99.95% 99.995% 99.9995%
High-efficiency filter process:
The flocculation dosing device is used to add flocculants to the circulating water before the pump. After the raw water is pressurized by the booster pump, the flocculants are stirred by the water pump impeller and evenly mixed to suspend the fine solid particles in the raw water and the colloidal substances for micro-flocculation reaction, quickly generating flocs with a volume greater than 5 microns, flowing through the filtration system pipeline into the high-efficiency asymmetric fiber filter, and the flocculants are filtered and retained by the filter material.
This system uses air-water combined flushing, backwash air is provided by a fan, and backwash water is directly provided by tap water. The system's wastewater (high-efficiency automatic gradient density fiber filter backwash wastewater) is discharged into the sewage treatment system.
High-efficiency filter leak detection:
The commonly used instruments for high-efficiency filter leak detection are dust particle counter and 5C aerosol generator.
Dust particle counter
It is used to measure the size and number of dust particles per unit volume of air in a clean environment, and can directly detect clean environments with cleanliness levels ranging from Class 10 to Class 300,000. It has a small size, lightweight, high detection accuracy, simple and clear function operation, microprocessor control, storage and printing of measurement results, and is very convenient for testing clean environments.
5C Aerosol Generator
The TDA-5C aerosol generator can produce consistent aerosol particles with a variety of diameter distributions. When used in conjunction with aerosol photometers such as TDA-2G or TDA-2H, the TDA-5C aerosol generator can provide enough challenge particles to measure high-efficiency filtration systems.
