Technical parameters and application characteristics of laminar flow hoods

(I) Purification range and form
The Class 100 laminar flow hood is a device that creates a local high cleanliness environment in a low cleanliness environment, which can make the local working environment reach Class 100. It has a variety of forms such as ceiling hanging, suspended screw hanging, and frame type, which can meet the installation needs of different pharmaceutical workshops. For example, in some pharmaceutical workshops with high floor heights, the ceiling hanging form can make full use of the space and does not occupy the ground position; while in some areas with limited space, suspended screw hanging and frame-type laminar flow hoods are more flexible and can adjust the installation position according to actual conditions.
(II) Air intake and air supply method
The air intake method of the laminar flow hood has two options: top air intake or side air intake. The air supply form is top or side air intake and bottom air outlet, and the air outlet is preferably within 1 meter from the work area table. This specific air intake and air supply method can ensure that the air forms a stable vertical unidirectional flow in the working area, thereby ensuring that the cleanliness required by the process is achieved in the working area. According to relevant data, the laminar flow hood using this air intake and air supply method can make the dust with a particle size of ≥0.5μm in the working area ≤3.5 particles/liter (FS209E100 level), and the average wind speed is about 0.3-0.55m/s, providing a highly clean environment for the pharmaceutical process.
(III) Accessories and control methods
The laminar flow hood can be equipped with lighting fixtures, ultraviolet sterilization lamps, anti-static soft curtains, and other accessories as needed. Lighting fixtures can provide sufficient light for the working area, which is convenient for operators to operate; ultraviolet sterilization lamps can further disinfect and sterilize the air to improve its cleanliness of the air; anti-static soft curtains can prevent static electricity from affecting drugs, and can also play a certain isolation role.
The control method of the laminar flow hood is three-speed speed regulation, and the outlet wind speed is about 0.45-0.65m/s. Operators can adjust the wind speed according to different work needs to achieve the best air purification effect. For example, when carrying out some process links that require high air cleanliness, the wind speed can be adjusted to a higher level to ensure that the air in the working area always remains highly clean.
