Suggestions for extending the service life of flat air filters
Suggestions for extending the service life of flat air filters(1) Reasonable selection and installationChoosing the right filter according to the actual needs is the first step to extending its service life. Different use scenarios have different requirements for the filtration accuracy, air volume, and dust capacity of air filters. These factors need to be taken into account in the selection. For example, in the ventilation system of an ordinary family, the basic filtration needs can be met by selecting a flat-panel air filter with an initial or medium effect; In the electronic chip manufacturing workshop with high air quality requirements, it is necessary to choose efficient flat air filters with higher filtration accuracy. At the same time, according to the air volume of the ventilation system, choose a filter with a rated air volume that matches it. If the rated air volume of the filter is too small to meet the ventilation needs, it will cause the filter to be in a high load operation state for a long time, accelerating its loss; On the contrary, if the rated air volume is too large, it will not only cause a waste of resources, but also may affect the filtration effect. Proper installation of the flat air filter is also critical. Before installation, read the product manual carefully to understand the installation steps and precautions. When installing, ensure that the filter is tightly fitted to the mounting frame to avoid gaps and prevent leakage of unfiltered air bypass. At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to the direction of the air inlet and outlet of the filter and install it in strict accordance with the design requirements to ensure that the airflow direction is correct to give full play to the filtration efficiency of the filter. If improperly installed, it may lead to uneven local force on the filter, resulting in damage to the filter material, or greatly reducing the filtering effect of the filter, thereby shortening its service life. (2) Regular maintenance and cleaning Regular maintenance and cleaning of flat air filters is one of the key measures to extend their service life. It is recommended to set a proper maintenance period based on the dust concentration of the environment and the frequency of the filter. In general, in an indoor environment with low dust concentration, the filter can be checked every 1-2 months; In dusty industrial sites or outdoor environments, the frequency of inspection should be appropriately increased and inspected once a week or every half month. The inspection content mainly includes the accumulation of dust on the filter surface, whether the filter material is damaged, whether the frame is deformed, and whether the seals are intact. Once the filter surface is found to be dusty, it should be cleaned in time. For washable filters, use a soft brush to gently brush the surface of the dust, and then rinse with water, dry, and then reinstall the use; For non-cleanable filters, when the dust accumulates to a certain extent, affecting the filtration effect, the new filter should be replaced in time. In addition, when cleaning and maintaining the filter, care should be taken to avoid damage to the filter material. The cleaning tools used should be soft, avoid using sharp or hard tools to scrape the filter material, so as not to damage the structure of the filter material and reduce the filtration efficiency. At the same time, in the process of disassembling and installing the filter, it should be handled gently to prevent the filter from being collided or squeezed. (3) Supporting the use of pre-filter It is an effective method to extend the service life of a flat air filter by using a pre-filter in the front end. The pre-filter is usually the primary filter, and its main function is to filter the impurities such as dust, hair, and catkins of larger particles in the air. Through the preliminary filtration of the pre-filter, the filtration burden of the flat-type air filter can be greatly reduced, so that it mainly deals with the finer particles in the air, thereby reducing the wear and blockage of the flat-type air filter and extending its service life. For example, in the ventilation system of a large shopping mall, if only the flat air filter is used, the flat air filter may need to be replaced frequently due to the large flow of people in the mall and the large amount of dust and impurities in the air. However, if a pre-filter is installed at the front end of the filter, the pre-filter first filters out most of the large particle impurities, the amount of dust entering the flat air filter is greatly reduced, and the service life of the flat air filter can be significantly extended. When selecting the pre-filter, the filtration accuracy and rated air volume should be reasonably selected according to the type and use environment of the flat-type air filter. In general, the filtration accuracy of the pre-filter should be lower than that of the flat air filter to ensure that it can effectively intercept large particles of impurities, while not causing excessive obstacles to airflow. At the same time, it is necessary to regularly maintain and replace the pre-filter to ensure its normal work, and to better play the protective role of the flat-plate air filter. |
