Standards for daily use of explosion-proof negative pressure weighing chambers

Standards for daily use of explosion-proof negative pressure weighing chambers

The negative pressure weighing chamber is composed of a stainless steel box, centrifugal fan, high-efficiency filter, flow equalization membrane, differential pressure gauge, touch screen, wind speed sensor, PAO detection port, lighting, and other main components. The downward-settling low-pressure airflow flows through the operating area, creating a clean and sterile local environment and avoiding cross-contamination of dust and reagents.

Negative pressure weighing rooms are commonly used in pharmaceuticals, microbiological research, and laboratories. It is fixedly installed in the clean room, with three sides closed and one side open for equipment and personnel to enter and exit. To ensure work safety and weighing accuracy, you should pay attention to the following points for using the negative pressure weighing room:

1. The negative pressure weighing work area adopts a negative pressure design, so its static cleanliness should be the same as that of the background area. When the exhaust vent is closed and the work area becomes positive pressure, it can be measured that the static cleanliness should be level A.

2. Before using the negative pressure weighing room, it should be started 20 minutes in advance to ensure that the equipment operates normally and reaches working condition.

3. It is prohibited to place objects at the return air outlet to avoid blocking the return air hole, resulting in insufficient air collection volume and affecting the airflow pattern and negative pressure formation.

4. When using the touch LCD screen, please keep your hands touching lightly to avoid damage to the touch LCD screen.

5. The emergency stop button between the negative pressure weighing chambers cannot be pressed normally. If a malfunction occurs, the emergency stop button must be pressed to stop the system. After troubleshooting, the emergency stop button needs to be reset to start the program again.

6. The operator should always be under the negative pressure weighing chamber when weighing, and handle it flexibly according to the size of the weighing chamber to ensure accuracy and safety.

7. During the entire weighing process, operators must wear work clothes, gloves, masks, and other related protective equipment as required.

8. After the weighing operation is completed, the operator should clean and disinfect the weighing area in time to keep the work area clean and hygienic.

9. Ordinary negative pressure weighing chambers are not explosion-proof. Please do not use them in flammable and explosive environments to prevent accidents.

10. To verify the impact of wind speed on the accuracy of measuring instruments, the fan frequency can be adjusted to keep the wind speed within a reasonable range for accurate measurement.

11. Inspection/replacement

(1) Use an anemometer regularly (recommended once a month) to measure the average wind speed in the work area. If it is found that it does not meet the requirements, adjustments should be made to ensure that the negative pressure weighing room is in optimal working condition.

(2) Use a differential pressure meter to measure the pressure difference of the high-efficiency filter regularly (recommended once a month). If it is found that it does not meet the requirements, the high-efficiency filter should be replaced in time.

(3) Regularly (recommended once a month) use a dust particle counter to measure the cleanliness of the work area. Once the technical parameters are not met, the cause should be found and repaired in time.

(4) Replace the primary filter regularly (recommended once/1 a month) and replace the medium-efficiency filter regularly (recommended once/2 a month).

(5) It is recommended to conduct an integrity test (leak detection) once a year and use a photometer to test the high-efficiency filter. If leakage is found to exceed 0.01%, the high-efficiency filter should be repaired or replaced in time.

12. Based on usage, it is recommended to conduct comprehensive equipment maintenance and upkeep once a month to ensure the normal operation and optimal working condition of the negative pressure weighing room.

The above is an introduction to the key points related to the use of negative-pressure weighing rooms. When using a negative pressure weighing room, we should be fully prepared, follow the correct steps, and pay attention to comply with relevant safety regulations. Only in this way can we ensure that the negative pressure weighing room can work normally, ensure that the working area is in a highly clean state, and provide a safe and reliable environment for the weighing and packaging of dust and granular materials.
