Precautions for using air purifiers

Precautions for using air purifiers

(I) Selection of disinfection periods
The selection of disinfection periods should be based on actual needs. Dynamic disinfection is generally carried out during peak hours of personnel activities, such as during consultations, treatment operations, and disinfection of wards in sequence, to control and reduce the secondary pollution of personnel activities to the ambient air. Preventive disinfection is carried out 1-3 times a day, each time for 60-120 minutes, usually before work in the morning and after getting off work in the afternoon. For example, a certain model of air purifier disinfector recommends preventive disinfection twice a day, each time for 90 minutes.
(II) Spatial applicability
Different models of air purifier disinfectors have different applicable areas. Small ones are suitable for smaller spaces such as bedrooms and offices; medium ones are suitable for medium spaces such as conference rooms and living rooms; large ones are suitable for large spaces such as halls and exhibition halls. For example, the ceiling-mounted air purifier disinfector LAD/KJD-T1600 is suitable for medium to large indoor spaces of 300-800 square meters, such as offices and conference rooms.
(III) Surface hygiene of indoor objects
Before using the air purifier and disinfector, the floor, the lower half of the wall, and the surfaces of various objects in the room should be cleaned and disinfected. In an environment with high disinfection requirements, the walls and ceiling can be cleaned and disinfected 1-2 times a month. At the same time, it is not advisable to hang items that are easy to absorb or raise dust indoors.
(IV) Ventilation
When using an air purifier and disinfector, pay attention to proper ventilation. Ventilation can dilute indoor pathogens and reduce the chance of infection. Generally, the indoor air can be purified within half an hour. However, doors and windows should be closed during disinfection to ensure the airtightness of the room. After the disinfection is completed, windows should be opened for ventilation in time.
(V) Placement of items around the equipment
The air purifier and disinfector should be placed in a lower place, leaving about 30 cm of space around it, and keeping a certain distance from the wall. Do not place it in the aisle or next to fragile items or liquid items. It should be placed in a room where family activities are concentrated or the concentration of harmful gases is high, and the position should be changed frequently.
