Precautions for using a laminar flow hood

Precautions for using a laminar flow hood

Installation
- Location selection: Choose an area away from vibration sources, heat sources, and areas that may generate a lot of dust. Avoid vibration that affects the stability and internal airflow of the laminar flow hood. Heat sources may cause turbulent airflow, and dusty areas will increase the filtering burden of the laminar flow hood.
- Installation level: Ensure that the laminar flow hood is installed horizontally. You can use a level to calibrate it. Uneven installation may cause uneven airflow and affect the cleaning effect.
Operation process
- Pre-operation inspection: Before each use, check whether the fan is operating normally and whether there is any abnormal noise. Check whether the filter has signs of damage or blockage. If so, replace it in time.
- Operating environment: Maintain the ambient temperature and humidity within a suitable range. Too high or too low temperature and too high humidity may affect the performance and service life of the equipment. Generally, the temperature is 18-26℃ and the relative humidity is 45%-65%.
- Avoid blocking: Do not place objects at the air inlet and outlet of the laminar flow hood to avoid blocking the airflow and affecting the circulation of clean air.
Maintenance
- Regular cleaning: Clean the outer shell and internal cavity of the laminar flow hood regularly. Use cleaning tools that do not shed fibers and suitable cleaning agents to prevent dust and cleaning agent residues.
- Filter replacement: Replace the high-efficiency filter regularly according to the frequency of use and the dust in the environment. Generally, the service life of the high-efficiency filter is about 1-3 years, but if the environment is dusty, it may need to be replaced in advance.
- Professional maintenance: Ask professionals to conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the laminar flow hood regularly, including checking the electrical system, fan performance, etc.
