Introduction to selecting an air filter

I. Selection according to different purification standards

First of all, we need to determine the degree of purification required in the environment, and reasonably choose the combination of air filter levels and the efficiency of all levels. If the indoor requirement is general cleanliness, you can choose the primary filter; if the requirement is medium cleanliness, you should use the combination of primary and medium efficiency filters; if the requirement is super cleanliness, you should use the combination of primary, medium efficiency, and high-efficiency filters.

II. Determining the dust content of the outdoor air

What we call air filtration is the outdoor air is filtered and sent indoors, so the dust content in the outdoor air is also an important basis for our choice of filters, especially when using multi-stage purification methods, the choice of pre-filter should be fully considered when using the environment, cost, energy consumption, and other comprehensive factors.

III. Determine the characteristics of the filter

When choosing a filter, we must take into account the filtration efficiency, resistance, penetration rate, dust capacity, and filtration air speed of the equipment, and try to choose equipment with high efficiency, low resistance, large dust capacity, moderate air speed, large capacity, and low price.

IV. Correct analysis of the nature of the dust-containing gas

The nature of the dusty gas mentioned here mainly includes the temperature, humidity, acid, and alkali content of the gas and organic solvents, etc. We should know that some filters are allowed to be used in a high-temperature environment, while most filters can only work in a normal temperature and humid environment.

V. Compare the diameter of the fibers

In air filters using fibers as filter media, the fibers are the main material for intercepting air pollution, and if the fibers are fine, the number of fibers per unit volume is high, and if there are more fibers, the efficiency of filtration is high. And the same thickness, the same fluffiness of the two pieces of filter media, the fine fibers of the filter media filtration efficiency is higher because the fine fibers of the dust capacity are large.
