Instructions and precautions for using activated carbon air filter box

Instructions and precautions for using activated carbon air filter box

I. Equipment operation steps
1. Before starting the activated carbon air filter box, check whether the various parts of the equipment are intact and the connections are tight. Only after ensuring that the equipment is in normal condition can the next step be performed.
2. Open the air inlet and outlet valves of the equipment so that the air can pass through the filter box smoothly.
3. Start the fan and introduce the air to be filtered into the filter box. The speed of the fan should be adjusted according to actual needs to ensure the balance between air flow and filtering effect.
4. When the air passes through the activated carbon filter layer, the harmful substances in it will be adsorbed and removed. The filtered air is discharged from the air outlet and enters the clean room or other places where air purification is required.
II. Backwashing steps
1. After the activated carbon filter box has been running for some time, the activated carbon adsorption layer will gradually be saturated and backwashing is required to restore its adsorption capacity. The timing of backwashing can be determined according to the pressure difference of the inlet pressure gauge on the tank body. Generally, backwashing is required when the pressure difference reaches a certain value.
2. Close the air inlet and outlet valves of the equipment and stop the fan.
3. Open the backwash valve and introduce clean water or other cleaning fluid for backwashing. The flow rate and pressure of the backwash should be adjusted according to the specifications and requirements of the equipment to ensure the backwash effect.
4. During the backwash process, the activated carbon filter layer can be properly stirred to improve the cleaning effect. The backwash time is generally a few minutes to more than ten minutes, and the specific time depends on the actual situation.
5. After the backwash is completed, close the backwash valve, open the drain valve, and discharge the cleaning fluid out of the equipment.
6. After the drainage is completed, close the drain valve, open the air inlet and outlet valves, start the fan, and restore the normal operation of the equipment.
III. Backwash cycle judgment
1. The inlet pressure gauge on the tank can monitor the operating pressure of the equipment in real-time. When the pressure difference gradually increases, it means that the adsorption capacity of the activated carbon filter layer gradually decreases and backwashing is required.
2. Generally speaking, the backwash cycle can be determined according to the use of the equipment and the air quality requirements. If the air quality requirements are high or the equipment has been running for a long time, the backwash cycle can be appropriately shortened.
3. In actual use, the backwash cycle can be judged by observing the changes in the pressure gauge and detecting the quality of the filtered air. If the backwash cycle is too long, the filtering effect will decrease; if the backwash cycle is too short, the operating cost and maintenance workload of the equipment will increase.
IV. Precautions
1. The equipment should be kept under pressure during operation to ensure that the air can pass through the filter box smoothly. If the equipment leaks or the pressure drops, it should be checked and repaired in time.
2. When backwashing, attention should be paid to controlling the flow and pressure of the cleaning liquid to avoid damage to the equipment. At the same time, it should be ensured that the cleaning liquid can fully contact the activated carbon filter layer to improve the cleaning effect.
3. The activated carbon filter box should be inspected and maintained regularly, and the saturated activated carbon filter layer should be replaced in time. If the equipment is found to be damaged or faulty, it should be repaired or replaced in time.
4. When installing and using the activated carbon filter box, the equipment manual should be strictly followed to avoid equipment damage or safety accidents due to improper operation.
5. The activated carbon filter box should be placed in a dry and well-ventilated place, avoiding direct sunlight and a humid environment. At the same time, keep away from fire sources and flammable items to ensure the safe operation of the equipment.
