Installation precautions for fresh air booster cabinets

Installation precautions for fresh air booster cabinets

(I) Best time for installation
For newly renovated houses, it is ideal to plan and install fresh air booster cabinets before renovation and during the water and electricity construction stage. At this time, you can communicate with the installation workers in advance about the pipe layout plan, equipment location, socket reservation, etc., to facilitate subsequent construction.
For renovated houses, you can choose a wall-mounted fresh air booster cabinet, which is relatively easy to install and does not require large-scale changes to the original decoration.
(II) Installation location
The fresh air host should be installed in non-living areas, such as balconies, bathrooms, kitchens, and garages above the ceiling to reduce noise impact, not occupy living space, and facilitate later maintenance.
Before installation, ensure that there is enough operating space and reserve inspection ports around the host to facilitate future maintenance.
When choosing the installation location, consider minimizing the required duct length to reduce pipeline resistance.
(III) Installation height
Generally speaking, the installation height of the fresh air host is about 300mm. It is not suitable for ceiling installation. A certain space should be reserved to prevent the host from vibrating.
At the same time, the layout of the pipeline should also be considered. The pipeline usually requires a space of about 120mm, which can be decorated with a ceiling or false beam along the top edge.
(IV) Key points for pipeline setting
Try to shorten the pipeline as much as possible, reduce branch pipelines, and avoid complex local components to save materials and reduce local wind resistance.
Avoid right-angle installation of pipelines, and use Y-shaped inclined tees or 45-degree elbows for smooth transition of connecting pipes.
Choose suitable pipes. For example, before decorating the ceiling, you can choose PVC pipes or galvanized air ducts; if the ceiling has been installed, you can choose composite hoses.
(V) Setting of air supply and exhaust vents
The distance between the air supply vent and the air exhaust vent should be kept above 1.5 meters, at least 5 times the diameter of the exhaust vent.
It is not recommended to install return vents in bathrooms and kitchens. Independent exhaust fans and range hoods should be used.
The distance between the air supply vent and the return vent in the room should be as far as possible. The air supply vent should be located far away from the room door, and the return vent should be close to the room door.
