How to properly install and replace the HEPA air filter of the anti-static ultra-clean workbench?

To properly install and replace a high-efficiency air filter for an anti-static ultra-clean workbench, follow these steps:
Preparatory work
Confirm the model: According to the model and specifications of the ultra-clean workbench, select the suitable high-efficiency air filter, and check whether its appearance is damaged, or deformed and whether the filter paper is damaged.
Tools: Prepare required tools, such as screwdrivers, wrenches, sealants, and cleaning cloths.
Safety precautions: Wear ESD clothes, gloves, masks, and other protective equipment to prevent pollution to the filter and workbench and to prevent possible injuries to yourself.
Clean the environment: In the area where the filter is installed and replaced, clean it in advance to reduce dust and debris in the surrounding environment and prevent access to the ultra-clean workbench during operation.
Replacement procedure
Power off: Before replacing an ESD workbench, power off the workbench and remove the plug to ensure safe operation.
Remove the old filter: Open the filter bay door or associated cover of the ultra-clean workbench and you will usually see the screws or clasps that hold the HEPA filter in place. Using a tool such as a screwdriver or wrench, carefully unscrew or release the clip to remove the old filter from its mounting position. During the removal process, do not pull or collide with the filter, to avoid damage to the filter or internal structure. At the same time, observe the installation method and location of the old filter so that the new filter can be installed correctly.
Clean the installation area: Wipe the filter installation slot and surrounding area with a cleaning cloth to remove dust, debris, and old sealant, and ensure that the installation surface is clean and smooth.
Install the new filter: Place the new HEPA filter into the installation slot in the correct orientation and position, ensuring that the filter fits tightly into the installation slot. Then use the screw or buckle to fix the filter, pay attention to tightening the screw or fastening the buckle should be moderate, avoid being too tight to cause deformation or damage to the filter, too loose may lead to a loose seal.
Sealing treatment: To ensure the sealing effect of the filter and prevent the leakage of unfiltered air, an appropriate amount of sealant can be applied to the gap between the filter and the installation slot to ensure that the sealant evenly fills the gap.
Check the installation: After the installation is completed, carefully check whether the installation of the filter is firm, whether the seal is good, and whether there is a gap or loose phenomenon. At the same time, check whether the filter surface is clean and free of dust and debris.
Restore power and test: close the hatch door or cover of the ultra-clean workbench, plug in the power, turn on the equipment, run for some time, use an anemometer, dust particle counter, and other equipment to detect the wind speed, cleanliness and other parameters in the workbench, to ensure that the newly installed high-efficiency air filter works normally, and the performance of the ultra-clean workbench meets the requirements.
