How to choose the UV lamp suitable for an ordinary pass box?

How to choose the UV lamp suitable for an ordinary pass box?

There are several key factors to consider when choosing a UV lamp suitable for a common pass box:
First, ultraviolet wavelength
Sterilization band selection
The main sterilization band of the ultraviolet lamp is 200-280 nm, this band is called the UVC band, of which 253.7 nm of ultraviolet sterilization effect is the best. When selecting the lamp tube, ensure that the ultraviolet radiation emitted is mainly concentrated in this bactericidal effect of the band range.
For example, in some high-quality ultraviolet lamps, their spectral analysis shows that there is a clear peak at about 253.7 nm, which means that the lamp can efficiently destroy the DNA structure of microorganisms at this wavelength, to achieve good bactericidal effects. If the ultraviolet wavelength emitted by the lamp deviates from this range, such as biased to long wave ultraviolet (UVA band, 320-400 nm), the sterilization ability will be greatly reduced.
2. UV intensity (power)
According to the size of the pass box and frequency of use
The size of the pass box determines the UV intensity required. For a larger size pass box, such as a pass box with an internal space length, width, and height of 600mm×600mm×600mm, a higher power ultraviolet lamp may be required, and it is generally recommended to choose a lamp with 30W or higher power to ensure that the ultraviolet ray can fully cover the entire space. Achieve good bactericidal effect.
Also, consider how often you use your pass box. If the pass box is used frequently and a large number of items need to be transferred every day, a lamp with slightly higher power should also be selected to ensure that the items can be effectively sterilized in a short time. For example, in the drug distribution pass box in the hospital, due to the number of drug delivery times, the choice of about 36W ultraviolet lamps can be more efficient for sterilization and disinfection.
Three, lamp life
Durability consideration
Lamp life is an important economic and performance index. Generally speaking, the life of high-quality UV lamps can reach 1000-2000 hours. In the selection, try to choose a long-life tube, which can reduce the frequency of replacing the lamp and reduce maintenance costs.
Lamp life is affected by many factors, including the manufacturing process, the use environment, and so on. Some lamps made of advanced quartz glass materials and special electrodes have a relatively long life. At the same time, factors such as temperature and humidity in the used environment will also affect the life of the lamp. For example, in an environment where the temperature is too high or too low, the lamp life may be shortened, so in some places with large temperature fluctuations, such as warehouse transfer Windows without temperature control, we should pay more attention to the choice of lamp life, and try to choose a lamp that can adapt to this environment.
4. Brand and quality certification
Reliable brand guarantee
Choosing a well-known brand of UV lamp can ensure quality to a large extent. Well-known brands usually have strict production standards and quality control systems, and their products are more guaranteed in terms of ultraviolet emission intensity, wavelength stability, and life.
For example, some brands that have a good reputation in the field of medical equipment or clean room equipment produce UV lamps that have been rigorously tested and verified to meet the needs of a variety of different application scenarios.
Quality certification inspection
To ensure that the lamp has the relevant quality certification. For example, in line with the national standard GB 19258-2012 "ultraviolet germicidal lamp" certification, the standard specifies the product classification of ultraviolet germicidal lamps, technical requirements, test methods, and other content. Lamps with these certifications are more trustworthy in terms of safety and effectiveness. In addition, some international certifications such as CE certification can also be used as a reference, indicating that the lamp in the European market also meets the corresponding quality and safety standards.
5. Lamp shape and size
Adapt the internal structure of the transfer window
The shape and size of the lamp should match the internal structure of the transfer window. Common ultraviolet lamp shapes are straight tube and U-shaped. For transfer Windows with more regular shapes and open internal space, straight tubes may be a better choice because they can be conveniently installed on the top or sides of the pass box.
For some limited space or irregular shape of the transfer window, U-shaped lamps may be more suitable, they can provide a large ultraviolet exposure area in a small space. At the same time, pay attention to the length and diameter of the lamp tube to ensure that it can be installed in the tube slot or fixed device of the pass box, and will not affect the normal placement and passage of the transferred items.
