How does the clean bench work?

The clean bench is a kind of purification equipment that provides a local high-cleanliness working environment and has strong versatility. It is generally used for biological experiments that do not directly harm the human body, providing a local clean working environment for biological experiments. It is easy to operate, with a short preparation time, and can be used at any time. It is mainly used in biomedicine, food, inspection and testing, inspection and quarantine, agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry, environmental protection, scientific research, and other fields.
The working principle of the clean bench is that the clean environment is formed in a specific space, and the clean air (inlet filtered air) flows in a set direction. According to the direction of airflow, the existing ultra-clean benches can be divided into vertical, inside-out, and lateral types. Considering the operation quality and the impact on the environment, the vertical type is superior. The clean air provided by the air supply filter plate descends through the operating area at a specific speed, separates in the middle of the operating area, and is sucked away by the front air intake hole and the rear air intake window. The air sucked in the front and rear parts of the lower operating area is mixed and pumped into the rear positive pressure area by the blower. In the upper part of the machine, 30% of the gas is discharged from the top through the exhaust filter plate, and about 70% of the gas re-enters the operating area through the oxygen supply filter plate. To replenish the air exhausted from the exhaust port, the same volume of air is replenished from the room air through the operating port. This air will never enter the operating area but only form an air barrier. Purification workbenches are widely used in experiments that require a local clean and sterile working environment, such as microbial inoculation, cell inoculation, passage and cryopreservation, sterility testing of microorganisms, and plant tissue culture inoculation.
