Daily operation and maintenance of the HEPA exhaust unit

Daily operation and maintenance of the HEPA exhaust unit

1. Easy to use in daily operation
Pre-start inspection: Before opening the efficient exhaust unit every day, simply walk around the equipment for visual inspection. See if there is obvious damage to the appearance, whether the air intake and air outlet are unimpeded, to avoid foreign matter blockage affecting the ventilation effect. At the same time, pay attention to the control panel has no fault indicator light on, if there is abnormal blinking, need to refer to the manual to troubleshoot the problem, do not forcibly start.
Set the operating mode properly: Most efficient exhaust units have multiple operating modes to meet the requirements of different scenarios. For example, in densely populated office hours, choose a strong ventilation mode with large air volume and high speed to quickly replace indoor air, disperse carbon dioxide, odor, etc.; After work or at night, switch to a low-noise, energy-saving sleep mode to maintain basic air flow and avoid energy waste. Familiar with the mode switch button on the equipment operation panel, flexibly adjust according to the actual situation, and easily handle the indoor air "comfort".
Real-time monitoring of the operating status: Some intelligent HEPA exhaust units can be connected to the mobile phone APP or the central control system, which is convenient for checking the real-time parameters of the equipment at any time, such as wind speed, air volume, filter life, etc. Even if there is no intelligent function, it is necessary to develop the habit of regularly viewing the display data of the control panel, and once the wind speed is found to be sharply reduced, the noise is abnormally increased, etc., it is stopped in time to check and prevent small problems from "dragging" into a major failure.
Second, careful maintenance to extend life
Clean the filter regularly: The filter is the "first line of defense" of the HEPA exhaust unit, and it is all about stopping dust, pollen, and particles. Depending on the use environment, it is generally necessary to clean it every 1-3 months. After turning off the power supply of the equipment, carefully open the screen door and remove the screen. If it is the first effect filter, you can use a soft brush to gently brush the surface dust, and then use a vacuum cleaner to clean the dirt on the back; High efficiency filter is more fragile, so it is recommended to use low temperature compressed air from the back of the filter, or gently rinsed in warm water (pay attention not to rub, exposure, dry to avoid dust twice contaminated), to ensure that the filter pores are smooth, filtration efficiency is not discounted.
Fan maintenance: The fan is like the "heart" of the equipment, and its operation is directly related to the exhaust effect. Perform fan maintenance at least once a quarter. First, disconnect the power supply, open the fan shell, wipe the dust and oil on the blades with a clean rag, and check whether the blades are deformed or loose. At the same time, add an appropriate amount of lubricating oil to the fan bearing to ensure smooth rotation and reduce wear and noise. Be careful during operation to prevent injury caused by touching high-speed rotating parts.
Shell and pipeline maintenance: The equipment shell is exposed for a long time, which is easy to be contaminated with dust and stains, which not only affects the appearance of the shell but also may corrode the shell. Wipe the shell regularly with a damp cloth to remove dirt, and for stubborn stains, a mild cleaner can be used to wipe. The ventilation pipe connected to the exhaust unit should also be inspected regularly to see if there are signs of air leakage and damage. If the problem is found, repair or replace the pipeline section in time to ensure that the air transmission is "smooth all the way".
3. Deal with problems skillfully
Insufficient air volume: If the air volume is significantly smaller after opening the equipment, first check whether the filter is blocked, clean or replace it in time; Secondly, check whether the fan belt is relaxed (if any), and adjust the tension appropriately; It may also be that there is too much dust in the pipeline, and professionals need to clean the pipeline.
Excessive noise: The operation noise suddenly increases, and the high probability is that the fan components are loose, worn, or foreign bodies enter the wind engine room. After shutdown, check and tighten the parts according to the above fan maintenance steps, and remove foreign bodies; If the noise is still, it may be a motor fault, and after-sales maintenance personnel should be contacted to repair.
Odor distribution: the exhaust unit blows out the odor. On the one hand, the filter should be deeply cleaned, which may be caused by the mildew of the dirt adsorbed before. On the other hand, check whether there is water inside the equipment, breeding bacteria, and disinfect if necessary, you can use professional disinfectant to wipe the internal surface, but be sure to wash it clean, to prevent the residue of disinfectant pollution the air.
Mastering the daily operation and maintenance points of efficient exhaust units may seem trivial, but it is the key to ensuring indoor air quality and extending the life of the equipment. From simple daily operations to regular careful maintenance, to calm responses when problems arise, let this "air guard" that works silently maintain its best condition at all times, continue to inject fresh vitality into our living and working space, and enjoy every moment of healthy breathing.
