Daily maintenance of activated carbon adsorption cabinet

Daily maintenance of activated carbon adsorption cabinet

The daily maintenance of the activated carbon adsorption cabinet is essential to ensure its efficient operation and extend its service life. Here are the maintenance points:
1. Replace activated carbon regularly
Replacement cycle: Depending on the frequency of use and the degree of contamination, it is usually replaced every 1-3 months. If the treatment of high concentrations of pollutants (such as formaldehyde, and benzene) or odor is obvious, it is necessary to shorten the cycle.
Failure: When the adsorption effect decreases (such as odor recurrence) or the surface color of the activated carbon becomes darker, it needs to be replaced in time.
Replacement method: Turn off the power, open the cabinet door to remove the old carbon, clean up the residual dust, load the new activated carbon, and compact.
2. Check the tightness
Cabinet door seal: Regularly check whether the cabinet door seal strip is aging and deformed to ensure tight closure and avoid purifying air leakage.
Pipe connection: Check whether the inlet and outlet pipe interfaces are loose to prevent unpurified air from mixing.
3. Clean the cabinet
External cleaning: Wipe the surface dust with a soft cloth and avoid using chemical cleaners.
Internal cleaning: After removing the activated carbon, clean the dust in the cabinet with a vacuum cleaner or a soft brush to prevent plugging the pores.
4. Monitor the adsorption effect
Sensory judgment: Whether the evaluation results are significantly improved by odor.
Instrument detection: Use an air quality detector (such as a formaldehyde detector) to regularly detect the concentration of pollutants in the outlet.
5. Environment maintenance
Temperature control: Avoid long-term exposure to high-temperature environments (such as direct sunlight), activated carbon is easy to release adsorption at high temperatures.
Corrosive substances: Keep away from corrosive chemicals such as strong acids and alkalis to prevent the damage of carbon structure.
6. Record maintenance logs
Record the activated carbon replacement time, environmental status, and effect, to adjust the maintenance cycle.
Note:
Do not wash: activated carbon will fail in contact with water, if damp needs to be dried or replaced.
Avoid heavy pressure: prevent activated carbon particles from breaking, affecting the adsorption area.
Professional maintenance: If the circuit or fan fault is involved, contact professionals.
Through the above maintenance, it can ensure the continuous and efficient operation of the activated carbon adsorption cabinet and extend the life of the equipment.
