Cleanliness levels in clean rooms

According to the industry's usual standard cleanliness level division of the clean room, the order is one, ten, one hundred, one thousand, ten thousand, one hundred thousand, the lower the value, the higher the degree of cleanliness.

What is the difference between these cleanrooms? 

The main difference is that the concentration of permissible particles in the air is not the same for all particle sizes.


1. Class 100 clean room
Allowable 0.5-micron allowable particle concentration less than 3520 (pc/m3), according to each cubic foot unit to be less than 100; 5-micron allowable particle concentration less than 293 (pc/m3).
 
2. Class 1,000 clean room
Allowed 0.5 microns of permissible particle concentration of less than dry 35200 (pc/m3), according to each cubic foot unit to be less than 1000; 5 microns of permissible particle concentration of less than 2930 (pc/m3).
 
3. Class 10,000 clean room
The permissible particle concentration of 0.5 microns is less than 352000(pc/m3), according to each cubic foot unit to be less than 10000; the 5-micron permissible particle concentration is less than 29300(pc/m3).

4. Class 100,000 clean room
Allowable 0.5-micron particle concentration of less than 3520000 (pc/m3), according to each cubic foot unit to be less than 100000; 5-micron particle concentration of less than 29300 (pc/m3).
