A small amount of FFU maintenance

A small amount of FFU maintenance

1) Check the problem
1. Check whether the screws around the FFU wind ring are tight and whether the foot pedal is deformed.
When performing maintenance on a small amount of FFU, first check the tightening of the screws around the air coil. According to actual use experience, if the screws are loose, it may cause unstable operation of the equipment and even cause safety hazards. For example, in some actual cases, because loose screws were not discovered in time, the FFU produced slight vibrations during operation, which may cause damage to the internal components of the equipment in the long run. At the same time, check whether the foot pedal is deformed. Deformation of the foot pedal may affect the operator's safety and comfort.
2. Check whether the FFU speed regulating device is operating normally and whether the connection with the chassis is tight.
The speed regulating device of FFU is a key component for controlling the wind speed of the equipment. When checking, make sure that the speed control device can operate normally. When the speed is increased or decreased, the air volume of the FFU should change accordingly. According to statistics, about 30% of FFU failures are caused by problems with the speed control device. If it is found that the connection between the speed-regulating device and the casing is not tight, it may affect the accuracy of the speed regulation and even cause the equipment to fail to work properly. For example, in the clean rooms of some electronics manufacturing companies, the wind speed of the FFU is unstable due to the loose connection between the speed control device and the chassis, which affects the production quality of electronic products.
3. Check whether the air outlet surface of the high-efficiency filter under the FFU is clean, and detect the surface air speed and filtration efficiency.
The high-efficiency filter is one of the core components of the FFU. The cleanliness of its air outlet surface directly affects the filtration effect. If there are impurities on the surface that are blocked, they must be cleaned up in time to avoid damage to the filter surface. At the same time, professional instruments can be used to detect the surface air velocity and filtration efficiency of the FFU. Generally speaking, the air outlet surface of the high-efficiency filter is set to 9 points (3 points in a row), and the anemometer collects the wind speed value at a distance of 1.2 - 1.5m below the FFU to check the wind speed difference at the points. The efficiency test is similar to the wind speed test method and is divided into two steps: first, the efficiency test instrument should be close to the surface of the high-efficiency filter, stay at each point for 1 minute to check the filtration value; then, 1m below the air outlet surface of the high-efficiency filter, Collect filtered values at the same point, compare them with the test data, and check the data differences.
(2) Maintenance methods
1. After FFU has been running for 3 months, the wind ring should be checked regularly and any loose screws should be tightened promptly.
After the FFU has been running for 3 months, the wind ring should be inspected regularly. If you find that the screws are loose, you can use some effective methods to tighten them. For example, padded spring washers, hex slotted nuts + cotter pins, padded stop washers, etc. can be used to prevent screws from loosening again. At the same time, make sure to tighten the screws with appropriate force and avoid over-tightening or over-loosening. Too tight may cause damage to the screws or deformation of the wind ring, while too loose may not achieve the tightening effect.
2. If the speed regulator is not operating properly, notify the manufacturer for repair. Usually, the capacitor or thyristor needs to be replaced.
When the speed regulator is not operating normally, such as when the speed is increased and the FFU air volume does not change significantly, the manufacturer should be notified for repairs as soon as possible. Generally, if there is a problem with the speed controller, the capacitor or thyristor needs to be replaced. When replacing capacitors or thyristors, choose accessories that match the original equipment model to ensure normal operation of the equipment. At the same time, pay attention to the operating specifications during the replacement process to avoid secondary damage to the equipment.
3. If the test finds that the high-efficiency filter is damaged or the wind speed is significantly reduced or the efficiency is not up to standard, notify the manufacturer to replace or repair it.
If the test finds that the high-efficiency filter is damaged, the wind speed is significantly reduced, or the efficiency does not meet the requirements, the manufacturer should be notified to replace or repair the high-efficiency filter. When the surface of the high-efficiency filter is seriously damaged, leak repair treatment is required to avoid affecting the filtration efficiency. If the surface of the filter material is too damaged and the leak cannot be repaired, the filter must be replaced with a new one. When installing a new filter, be sure to ensure that the edge between the filter and the frame is completely sealed to prevent air volume leakage. At the same time, it should be noted that the replacement and repair of high-efficiency filters are best carried out by professionals to ensure the accuracy and safety of the operation.
