A brief discussion of the various control methods and advantages and disadvantages of FFU

Nowadays, air filter equipment has various forms and functions, which are suitable for various fields in our life and work, and have been widely welcomed and recognized by the public. Today, we will introduce one of them, FFU, to its main control methods and performance characteristics.
At present, the utilization rate of control systems in the application field of FFU is very low, but in today's increasingly tight global energy situation, the energy-saving benefits brought by control systems are also highly valued by people. Today, we will discuss with you several commonly used control systems for FFU. The general control system is divided into four types: multi-speed switch control, continuous speed adjustment control, computer control, and remote control. Among these methods, the first two methods require relatively high energy consumption and are not very convenient to control. The better one is computer control, which can not only save energy and facilitate control but also effectively extend the service life of the equipment. Now let's take a closer look at the advanced functions of this control method!
1. The distributed control method is adopted, which makes it easier to realize the centralized monitoring of FFU;
2. It is easier to realize the control of single, multiple FFUs and partitions;
3. It can realize intelligent control system and save energy;
4. FFU can be monitored by remote control;
5. The control system also reserves a communication interface, which can communicate with the host computer or the entire network in time to realize the function of remote management.
Although this method has many advantages, disadvantages are also inevitable:
1. Because most clean workshops do not allow FFU to bring its brushes, most of the FFU motors use brushless DC motors, and the commutation problems are solved by electronic commutators. The life of electronic commutators is very short, which also affects the life of the entire control system;
2. The overall cost of this control system is still very expensive;
3. At the same time, the cost of later maintenance is also very high.
After reading about the advantages and disadvantages of computer control systems, let's take a look at the AC control method in FFU, which can be divided into two types: voltage regulation control and frequency conversion control. The so-called voltage regulation control method refers to adjusting the speed of the motor by changing the size of the motor stator voltage. Its disadvantages are low efficiency, serious heat generation, and a narrow speed regulation range, but the advantages are also obvious:
1. The system's speed regulation scheme is relatively mature, stable operation, and can ensure long-term continuous operation with few failures;
2. The overall operation of the system is simple and the cost is very low;
3. This method is particularly suitable for the load of the fan. Since the curve responsible for the FFU fan is a unique damping curve, if this method is used, the speed regulation range will be very wide.
There are many control methods for FFU, each with its advantages and disadvantages, which are unavoidable. We can only choose the air filter equipment suitable for use by the specific usage.
